Village on the Curves - France
As a short introduction I am a member of the Porsche Club GB and with my wife Joy have been actively involved with the Club since 2003, since 2010 we have run a campsite on the Porsche Curves called Village on the Curves which came about as a result of the decision by the PCGB board to no longer organise a trip to Le Mans.
As a result we took over the running of the event catering for all those members who could no longer enjoy their annual pilgrimage to Le Mans, last year the Club made a decision to appoint us as the preferred Travel Specialist for Le Mans, they sent representatives from Porsche Post and also we provided space for the Club Shop.
Porsche Club GB have made a real effort in the August Porsche Post with some fantastic articles and I have provided a link to the digital edition. http://edition.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/launch.aspx?eid=bd12dcb1-33b6-47c9-b538-74b6a5286ca7 I hope that this is of interest to your members. We have also been sponsored by Pirelli since 2010 and they will continue to support us next year.
As the promotional files are so large I have provided a link from which you can download any of the material. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/d672a1c6h0f6odj/AAD2Uh32fLLwtjIZrKfmDHiBa?dl=0
The Village was extremely popular with Porsche Clubs and we had representatives from Porsche Club America, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and I believe one member from Australia as well as Porsche Club GB, We have now had confirmation that we will also be the preferred Travel Specialist for 2015 for le Mans for The Porsche Club Netherlands as well as Porsche Club Great Britain.
As we move into 2015 and maybe a greater possibility of Porsche winning overall we would like to invite your members to join us on Village On The Curves for what we consider a fantastic experience, we are able to cope with long distance travellers as we run a minibus service around the circuit allowing pickups and collection from the Tram Station which is directly linked to the main railway station, therefore a car is not a requirement. We also have Pre –Erected tents with options for sleeping bags to be provided, together with chairs.
The campsite is trackside and a totally secure fenced site with English speaking security guards and private showers and toilets which are cleaned three times a day and extra cleans carried out as and when required. The pitches are 7mx5m and enable your car to be parked with the tent. We also have a large Marquee with a bar and bistro style catering which is open from early morning until late into the evening, on race day it is open for 24 hours. We do offer discounted meal packages but eating on the site is not compulsory and unlike other sites meals can be bought on an adhoc basis without pre-booking. We also offer a full range of English Ales as well as French Lager all at prices well below circuit prices. We also have three 50” plasma TV`s showing the race for the 24 Hours and any other sporting events which occur during the week, we will also be providing Wi-Fi at an additional cost.
Security is extremely important to our company and we only allow access with wristbands and a stickers on the car, one of the reasons our clients prefer our site is us is to ensure that their cars are safe that is why are guards regularly check the site and carry out regular patrols throughout the night.
Our unique selling point is that we operate two free minibuses on a half hour timetable throughout the week with drop of points in the circuit behind the pits and also the tram station, we also try to arrange trips to Arnage and Mulsanne but this is very traffic orientated.
Please look at our look at our promotional video http://www.youtube.com/user/VillageOnTheCurves?feature=mhee
